De acordo com relatos iniciais,parece ser a transferência de vídeo que em 2002 o DVD da Miramax,exceto que ele é "bumped up" de alta definição, e olha só um pouco melhor, como é infelizmente apenas 1080i, que é sub-padrão, quando comparados à maioria 1080p de película para transferências HD. Além disso, o DVD apresenta extras que parecem ser os mesmos.No entanto, a grande novidade nas revisões para o A Hard Day's Night em Blu-ray DVD parece ser que a trilha sonora no novo DVD ,esta nessa versão é excepcional. Isto é significativo na medida em que os pobres mono "estridente na trilha sonora" foi um dos inconvenientes de 2002 no lançamento do DVD da Miramax. Um crítico disse que ao lado de sua atual coleção de cds dos Beatles não havia nenhuma comparação e disseram: "Este é o melhor que eu já ouvi em canções clássicas dos Beatles."
